The Momose MJS-MV Kazuki Isogai is more than a signature model. It is the result of years of collaboration between renowned guitarist Kazuki Isogai and the master luthiers of Momose in Matsumoto, Japan.
Part of the prestigious Modern Virtuoso Series, this guitar was designed with functionality, tone and long-term reliability in mind.

Built entirely by hand in Japan, Momose guitars embody a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship, combined with a clear vision of what modern musicians truly need.

Tochi body: balance, clarity and musical depth

The two-piece Tochi body delivers a solid, well-defined tone with a shimmering midrange that cuts effortlessly through a mix. Slightly weighty yet resonant, Tochi handles distortion beautifully while retaining note definition, even in the lower registers. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of musical styles.

Quartersawn maple neck & wenge fingerboard

The quartersawn maple neck ensures outstanding stability and a fast, responsive feel.
The wenge fingerboard, with its dark grain and natural hardness, provides a snappy attack, excellent note separation and a comfortable playing surface.
A flatter 280R radius improves playability on higher frets, while Luminlay side dots enhance visibility on dark stages.

Mojotone® Clone’59 pickups

Inspired by a legendary 1959 Jazzmaster® pickup, the Mojotone® Clone’59 JM pickups deliver an open, articulate vintage tone with reduced noise thanks to reverse winding and polarity. Expect rich harmonics, expressive mids and smooth highs.

Premium hardware & handcrafted finish

Equipped with Montreux®, GOTOH®, and JESCAR® EVO components, this guitar is built for durability and performance. The thin top lacquer finish allows the wood to resonate freely, enhancing the instrument’s natural voice.
