The Bacchus Japan Tune-up series has arrived!
The Japan Tune-up series (commonly known as the "JT" series), acclaimed for the Headway and Seventy Seven, has finally been launched by Bacchus. The series is designed to produce instruments ready for use by musicians straight out of the box. Each instrument is carefully tuned and prepared in a special department located in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan. The spirit of the Handmade Series, Bacchus' top-of-the-range range launched in 2001, continues in this new line of instruments that musicians can rely on to produce the best possible performances.
About the JT Series
The parts that most directly affect playability are carefully finished at WDG (Workshop Deviser Guitars), a division of Deviser in Japan.
Saddle and bridge treatment for improved playability.
Finished frets for precise sound.
In addition to the elements shown in the images, we also carry out meticulous tuning, including string height adjustment and final fingerboard finishing, which directly affect playability. New guitars and basses are often difficult to play right out of the box, but with the JT series, we're committed to supporting your musical life from the day you buy.
The body top is made of Quilted Maple with a beautiful, eye-catching grain. The matte finish gives a very calm appearance despite the quilted top.
Slim WOODLINE body
This model inherits the reduced body of the WOODLINE models developed in the Handmade series. It's designed to be slightly slimmer than a classic JB electric bass, making for excellent playability. A black binding is used around the perimeter of the body to give it a luxurious, tight appearance.
Special brass neck plate
Features an original brass neck plate with a high specific weight. Heavier than conventional products, it offers a thick bass sound that extends into the low-mids.
Active circuit for flexible sound creation
Like the active models in the Handmade series, it features a 2-band equalizer to support detailed sound creation during performance. It can also be used in passive mode by switching the mini-switch.
Torrefied maple neck
The popular torrefied maple neck, a new Bacchus classic, is also used on this model. The heat treatment not only makes the neck very stiff and resistant to warping, but also gives it a dry sound with a good build-up of power.
