The DUKE, a bestseller since the creation of the Bacchus Handmade series, is now available in a new Global model. Thanks to this new model, the refined sound and playability of the DUKE are now available to an even wider audience.
A finish that highlights the wood
The guitar features an "Antique" finish that respects the natural texture of the wood. Feel like caressing it every day? Its sober, timeless color makes it comparable to an exceptional piece of furniture.
A curved shape inherited from the Handmade series
This model takes up the curved shape of the original DUKE manufactured in Japan in the Handmade series at the Aska factory. The curves of the top (the front of the guitar) are enhanced by the reflections of the polished varnish, giving it an elegant, refined look.
A neck joint angle optimizing playability
Neck angle plays an important role in the playability and sound of glued-neck models. While reproducing the curved shape and angle of the neck of the Japanese DUKE Handmade, we have fine-tuned it to perfectly match the instrument's materials and design. The result is an optimal balance between the clean attack produced by the moderate tension of the strings and the rich sound of the body.
Deep joints for efficient vibration transmission
A system of deep joints is used, offering a large bonding surface with the body and ensuring solid vibration transmission. The wide contact surface also has the advantage of facilitating precise preparation angles and woodworking.
Adjusted body thickness
The body thickness has been adjusted and reduced, without compromising the unique aesthetic balance of the DUKE, while retaining all the qualities of its sound. This reduction in thickness makes the instrument lighter, facilitating transport and handling for smaller players.
A slim neck
This model features our comfortable U-shaped neck. Even players with relatively small hands can easily press the strings and concentrate on their playing, as the left hand can easily change position.
Original pickups
The guitar is equipped with an original humbucker using a ferrite magnet of stable quality. It delivers a fat, warm sound ideal for clean riffs and solos, while retaining brilliance for use in clean tones. This makes it suitable for a wide variety of musical styles.
All instruments are inspected and adjusted by a specialized control team at Deviser's headquarters in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, before shipment.
