Bacchus BPB-1DX RSM/M - An affordable bass built to last
Classic looks, modern spirit.
With the BPB-1DX RSM/M, Bacchus offers an electric bass that fuses the charm of vintage models with modern specs designed for today's bassists. Part of the Universe Series, this entry-level bass offers bluffing playability for its price, while benefiting from Bacchus know-how accumulated on handmade models.
A roasted maple neck: stable, pleasant, sonorous
The neck and fingerboard are made of roasted maple. This wood has been heated to a high temperature to remove moisture and impurities. The result: greater stability, less deformation over time, and above all a drier, more precise and responsive sound, close to that found on old vintage basses.
The feel is superb: it's dry, fast under the fingers, and visually, the wood grain is just magnificent.
A lightweight poplar body for optimum playing comfort
The body is made of poplar, a wood renowned for its lightness and tonal balance. Neither too midrange nor too hollow, poplar offers a neutral sound base that lets the P-type pickup express itself fully. It's also a wood that doesn't tire much when played standing up, ideal for long rehearsals or live sets.
Stainless steel frets and refined heel: playability first and foremost
Bacchus is not kidding here: jumbo stainless steel frets for extra-long life and a brighter, cleaner sound.
And that heel-less heel? We can't get enough of it! Access to the treble is fluid and unobstructed. It's rare in this price range, and frankly, it's what makes the difference.
An efficient P-type microphone, simple and direct control
No frills: a Precision-type pickup developed by Bacchus himself, one volume, one tone. It's plug & play, perfect for efficient bass lines, whether you're into funk, rock or even dub. The sound is there, straight on, with that typical split coil bass grain.
Colours to suit all tastes
The BPB-1DX is available in an incredible variety of colours, from classics like Black, White and Sunburst to metallics and pastels like Sea Foam Blue, Shell Pink, Lake Placid Blue and Indigo Purple Metallic. This is your chance to find THE colour that matches your style.
