Headway HC-URUSHI/Coffee'25/STD CLG - The art of wood and sound
Imagine a guitar born of a meeting between two Japanese traditions: handcrafted lutherie and the ancestral art of Urushi varnish.
The Headway HC-URUSHI/Coffee'25/STD CLG embodies this unique expertise, where every detail is designed to offer a sensory experience as beautiful to see as it is to hear.
A guitar inspired by coffee culture
Designed to accompany your moments of relaxation, this guitar exudes the warmth of a quiet afternoon with a cup in hand. Its Cafe Latte Gradation (CLG) finish evokes the creamy hues of a café au lait, soft and soothing.
The word "Coffee Break" adorns the headstock, while the fingerboard markings take the shape of coffee beans - a subtle nod to the instrument's friendly, intimate spirit.
Rare woods chosen for their soul
Beneath its beauty lies an exceptional combination of woods:
-
Sitka spruce for the top, a wood renowned for its clarity and power, capable of revealing the finest nuances of playing.
-
Kentucky Coffeetree for the back and sides, a rare American species both light and responsive, bringing brilliance and responsiveness to every note.
-
African mahogany for the neck, for stability and warmth.
-
Richlite for the fingerboard and bridge, a high-end material that guarantees balance and reliability over time.
The result: a sound that's both sweet and expressive, ideal for fingerstyle or delicate arpeggios.
The secret of Urushi varnish
Applied by hand, traditional Urushi varnish - used for centuries in Japanese art - forms an extremely thin layer that lets the wood breathe and vibrate freely.
Over time, the guitar improves: its timbre gains in depth, its resonance expands, and its appearance subtly evolves. Each instrument becomes unique, in the image of its owner.
A jewel of craftsmanship, designed to last
GOTOH tuners, bone saddle and bridge, impeccable finish... everything exudes the care and precision of handcraft.
Each Headway guitar is made in small series in Japan, in the Deviser workshop, where a passion for wood guides every gesture.
