The Bacchus WL604-RSM/R is inspired by the iconic basses of the 60's, this Woodline revisits the great classics with the seriousness and know-how that have made the reputation of Bacchus and DEVISER, founded in 1977 in Nagano.

Behind its timeless look lies a bass designed for today's musicians: comfortable, stable, expressive, and ready to play straight out of the box thanks to the Japan Tune-Up made in Matsumoto.

An alder body with balanced musical grain

Alder has been a benchmark wood for electric basses for decades. Why? Because it offers a natural balance, with warm mids, well-defined lows and never aggressive highs. The result is a versatile bass that's equally at home in soul, funk, rock or modern pop.

Roasted maple neck: stability and responsiveness

The roasted maple neck is one of this model's great assets. This heat treatment enhances the wood's stability, makes it more resistant to climatic variations and improves vibration transmission. To the ear, this translates into a sharper attack, a drier sound and excellent responsiveness under the fingers. A real pleasure, especially for demanding bassists.

Rosewood fingerboard: depth and smoothness

Combined with alder, the rosewood fingerboard provides the extra soul that vintage sound enthusiasts are looking for: rich low mids, roundness and natural clarity, ideal for expressive, nuanced playing.

The WL604-RSM/R features the slightly slimmer body typical of the Woodline series. This reduced profile ensures excellent balance and an immediate feeling of comfort, whether sitting or standing, even over long sessions.

Classic sound... with a real bonus

Equipped with a set of JB Bacchus pickups, this bass delivers all the character of the traditional Jazz Bass sound. But Bacchus adds its own personal touch with the Turbo Switch integrated into the tone knob. Pulling the knob switches the two pickups into series, delivering a thicker, almost humbucking sound, perfect for giving body to a groove or making a bass line stand out in a dense mix.
