A top-of-the-range 5-string designed for demanding bassists

The WL5-QM-AC RSM/M is a 5-string active bass from the Bacchus Japan Tune-Up series. Each instrument in this series is meticulously tuned and prepared in Japan, in the Matsumoto (Nagano) workshops, to offer immediate playing comfort right out of the box.

It's the perfect combination of the know-how and modernity of active basses, for an instrument that's reliable, responsive and ready to deliver the goods on stage or in the studio.

Meticulous looks and top-of-the-range finishes

This WL5 features a table in Quilted Maple with spectacular grain. The matte, open-pore finish enhances the beauty of the wood while retaining a very pleasant, natural feel. The black binding around the body adds a touch of elegance and definition to the instrument's lines.

Available in several finishes: CHGS, NAS, BLKS, BRS, AMBS and REDS.

Wood selected for performance

Quilted Maple top: adds brilliance and clarity in the treble, with a strong midrange presence.
Nyatoh body: a wood similar to mahogany, it offers warmth and a balanced response, ideal for deep grooves.
Roasted Maple neck and fingerboard: remarkable stability, dry grain and precise attack. The heat treatment enhances the wood's rigidity and resonance, while limiting its sensitivity to climatic variations.

Versatile electronics

This bass is equipped with a set of JB Bacchus pickups and a BBP2 preamp with 2-band equalisation (treble and bass), to sculpt your sound with precision. Thanks to the mini switch, you can switch to passive mode at any time: ideal for adapting to any situation.

Controls: 1 volume, 1 balance, Treble, Bass, active/passive switch.

Confort de jeu & ergonomie

Inspirée de la série Handmade WOODLINE, cette basse possède un corps légèrement affiné, pour une meilleure ergonomie et un accès facilité. La diapason standard de 34’’ (864 mm), les frettes en nickel silver bien finies et le radius de 400R assurent un jeu fluide, précis et confortable.

Le chevalet JB avec pontets en laiton assure une excellente transmission des vibrations et un sustain généreux.
