From the very first glance, this BARON-JAZZ commands a unique presence. With an aesthetic inspired by classic hollow-body guitars and elegant F-holes… and yet, this is undeniably an electric guitar designed for today.
Crafted under the watchful eye of DEVISER, a Japanese company founded in 1977 in Nagano, this guitar is part of a strong tradition of craftsmanship, where every instrument tells a story of wood, expert hands and precision.
A structure designed for resonance
The choice of woods here is by no means trivial.
The spruce top, a hallmark of acoustic guitars and violins, offers natural harmonic richness and a lively resonance. You can immediately feel this organic response, even when the guitar is unplugged.
The nyatoh body, with its balanced weight, adds stability and excellent sustain, whilst maintaining ideal comfort when played standing up.
The maple neck ensures attack and precision, whilst the rosewood fingerboard softens the overall sound with a very musical warmth and roundness.
A unique sound
This BARON-JAZZ Alnico stands out thanks to its reimagined P-90 pickup configuration:
- The STP-Alnico neck pickup delivers a vintage, open sound with a subtle, highly expressive acoustic resonance;
- The STP-5 bridge pickup offers brightness, warmth and excellent definition, perfect for both chordal and lead playing;
The result is a rich tonal palette, capable of covering everything from mellow jazz and expressive blues to more modern styles.
Gameplay & feel
The medium scale length (628 mm) offers a more responsive feel, ideal for bends and playing comfort.
The bolt-on neck design provides excellent access to the high frets.
The T.O.M-style bridge ensures direct vibration transmission, enhancing sustain and precision.
And as always with DEVISER, every guitar is inspected and set up in Matsumoto, Japan, to offer impeccable playability straight out of the box.
