A rare jewel straight from Japan, for lovers of vintage style and sound. Handcrafted at Momose, the MFV-K-STD/NJ pays homage to the iconic 1958 Flying V, with a selection of top-quality woods and a breathtaking finish.

Japanese craftsmanship

Each guitar is crafted with the utmost precision by the finest luthiers in the Aska workshop (Nagano), according to the standards of the Momose ‘Vintage’ series.

An exceptional wood duo: Korina & Madagascar Rosewood

The body and neck are made from solid Korina (also known as Limba), a wood prized for its lightness and incredible musicality. It offers a warm tone, similar to mahogany, but with greater definition in the upper midrange. The result? A clear, responsive and highly expressive sound.

The Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard adds depth to the sound spectrum, with a precise bass, a singing midrange and a well-defined treble. A perfect combo for fans of vintage sounds, both clean and overdriven.

Frets: Jescar FW9662-NS for optimum playing comfort

Bridge: Tokiwa ABR-1 Type, inspired by Gibson classics

Vintage-grain electronics

Fitted with a set of BEANO pickups with Alnico II magnets, this guitar is designed for lovers of warm, soft, organic sounds. The BEANO pickups have a moderate output, ideal for letting the wood and subtleties of the guitarist's playing shine through. Control is via 2 volumes, 1 tone and a 3-position selector switch.

Finish & look

With its top lacquer finish that respects the natural resonance of the wood, its natural finish and gold-plated parts, the MFV-K-STD/NJ is a pure collector's item. The pickguard is available in WH-PG (white) or BLK-PG (black), depending on availability.
