Originally specializing in high-end acoustic guitars under the Headway brand, the maker launched Bacchus in 1991 to establish its own vision of the electric guitar: precise lutherie, player-focused ergonomics, and unwavering attention to detail.
The Bacchus BTE-TW reflects this innovative approach. Crafted from Tech Wood, a material made of multiple, carefully pressed layers of poplar, it captures the deep, elegant look of rosewood, an increasingly scarce resource. Beyond its natural aesthetic enhanced by a smooth satin finish, the layered structure adds rigidity to the neck, ensuring long-term neck stability.
Playing Comfort and Acoustic Resonance
Designed for effortless playability, the Tech Wood body features an internal hollowed-out construction. This weight-relief approach keeps the instrument perfectly balanced and comfortable to hold during long gigs or rehearsal sessions.
Acoustically, the density of Tech Wood combined with the internal chambering yields a dynamic response, a woody resonance, and a natural attack. The standard 25.5-inch scale length neck with 22 frets provides a fluid feel, ideal for rhythm playing or smooth solos.
