While modern mass production heavily relies on CNC routers to process timber indiscriminately, Yasuo Momose and his select team of master craftsmen preserve the hands-on methods of the 1950s and 1960s. Guided by their five senses, historical templates, and custom hand tools developed by Momose himself, these artisans shape every neck and joint according to the individual character of each piece of timber.
