Bacchus TACTICS-STD/RSM Electric Guitar

Designed by Bacchus, one of the flagship brands of the Japanese manufacturer Deviser, this guitar continues a tradition of craftsmanship that started in 1977 in Nagano, Japan, when a small group of highly skilled luthiers founded the company. Since then, the philosophy has remained the same: carefully selected woods, thoughtful design, and uncompromising quality.

The TACTICS-STD/RSM is part of the Roasted Maple Series, created to deliver the feel and tonal character of vintage instruments while remaining accessible.

Roasted Maple neck: stability and character

Both the neck and fingerboard are made from Roasted Maple. This process involves heating maple at high temperature to remove moisture and natural oils.

The result is:

• excellent neck stability, less sensitive to humidity and temperature changes

• a more open and organic resonance

• a smooth, fast playing feel

Tonally, roasted maple brings the character often associated with well-aged instruments: clear articulation, dynamic response and a subtle vintage warmth.

Nyatoh body: warmth and balance

The Nyatoh body provides tonal properties often compared to mahogany:

• warm midrange response

• solid projection

• balanced lows and highs

This makes the TACTICS-STD/RSM an ideal platform for a versatile guitar that works equally well for blues, rock, pop or indie styles.

The body also features arm and back contours, making the instrument particularly comfortable for long playing sessions.

A versatile pickup configuration

The pickup combination gives this model a very expressive voice:

• P-90 style pickup in the neck position

• single-coil pickup at the bridge

The neck P-90 delivers a thicker and more powerful tone than a traditional single-coil, with a rich and expressive character perfect for blues, rock or modern jazz tones.

The bridge pickup brings clarity, attack and brightness, ideal for cutting rhythm parts and articulate leads.

Together they create a highly versatile instrument with three clearly defined tonal positions.
