The Legacy of Yasuo Momose: The Senior Master Builder
The MOMOSE brand bears the name of its founder, Yasuo Momose, a visionary craftsman revered in Japan. Since 1977, the year he laid the foundations of acoustic excellence with the Headway brand (DEVISER's parent company), Yasuo Momose has dedicated his life to working wood by hand. Refusing standardization and computer-controlled (CNC) routers, he designed his own cutting tools and templates to preserve the natural resonance of each piece of wood. For Yasuo Momose, every tree is unique: its density, elasticity, and vibration differ. Relying on their five senses, the luthiers on his team shape these instruments, preserving the finest manufacturing methods of the 1950s and 1960s.

The 2-Piece Ash Body: This noble wood offers a spectacular grain highlighted by the sublime See-Through Blue (STB) finish. Acoustically, ash brings incredible dynamics, well-defined bass, and crystalline highs that cut through the mix with remarkable clarity.

The Thermo Wood (TW) Neck: This maple neck has undergone a deep thermal roasting process. Beyond its beautiful amber hue, Thermo Wood reproduces the acoustic properties and stability of wood aged for decades. The MC model reinvents traditional style with ergonomics pushed to perfection. The enlarged Large Neck Joint combined with a recessed neck plate (Drop-in design) offers completely fluid access to the highest frets.
To prevent any issues related to wood aging, the sides of the fingerboard feature a wood binding made of the same material as the fingerboard itself. Your fingers glide in absolute comfort, never feeling the edges of the frets, which are beautifully hand-polished. The visual contrast of the transparent blue finish with the black pickguard (BLK PG) gives this guitar a modern, assertive, and rarely elegant look.
On the electronics side, it comes equipped with hand-wound Momose VS-1 pickups.
