Playing a Momose is a dialogue with history. Yasuo Momose, a legendary Senior Master Builder, built his reputation on an absolute principle: the ear and the hand must prevail over the machine. Unlike mass-produced industrial guitars using computer-controlled CNC machines, the Aska Workshop in Matsumoto prioritizes human feel.
Momose Sensei has spent his life creating his own tools and understanding the "personality" of each piece of wood. For him, the quality of wood is never uniform; two pieces of ash will never sound exactly the same and must therefore be processed individually based on their mass and elasticity.
