A unique take on the semi-hollow guitar
Launched in 2006 by Deviser, the Seventy Seven brand was born out of an ambitious challenge: to bring the expertise of acoustic luthiers to the world of the electric guitar. The result? A deeply organic approach to the instrument.
Unlike a conventional design, the EXRUBATO-STD-JT is conceived as a true soundbox. The woodworking, drawing on Headway’s experience, produces a natural acoustic response with remarkable harmonic richness. The sound does not depend solely on the pickups: it already lives within the guitar.
Instrument-making with a soul
Its laminated maple body delivers both clarity and definition, whilst retaining the characteristic warmth of semi-hollow guitars. Maple is renowned for its ability to project a precise sound with excellent articulation – ideal for jazz, blues or even rock.
The maple neck, combined with an ovangkol fingerboard, offers a perfect balance between attack and smoothness. Ovangkol, similar to rosewood, provides a lovely roundness in the mid-range and a natural feel under the fingers.
The bone nut optimises vibration transmission, enhancing sustain and precision, whilst the ABR-1-style bridge ensures excellent stability and fine tuning.
The Seventy Seven touch
AL2 (Alnico 2) pickups deliver a warm, expressive and dynamic sound. They offer that slightly vintage tone, with smooth highs, singing mids and well-defined lows. Perfect for those looking for a guitar capable of both subtle nuances and expressive distortion.
