SeventySeven ALBATROSS-JAZZ-JT FMY
Japan Tune-Up Series – Limited edition
An ALBATROSS unlike any other
This SeventySeven ALBATROSS-JAZZ-JT FMY is a model apart. Produced in a limited edition exclusively for the Deviser One Day Guitar Show, it perfectly embodies the philosophy of SeventySeven Guitars: a guitar inspired by the great tradition, but with a real personality and typically Japanese attention to detail.
From the very first glance, the Flame Myrtle top catches the eye. Its subtle, lively flame grain is enhanced by a natural finish that allows the wood to breathe. It's a guitar you'll want to take off the wall... and above all, play.
Instruments designed for resonance and comfort
The body is built around a semi-hollow chambered structure, with an okoumé back and centre block. This light, resonant wood provides beautiful tonal openness while maintaining excellent stability. The result:
- a lighter guitar,
- rich, organic resonance,
- and a real pleasure to play, even during long sessions.
This architecture produces an airy, expressive sound, with that little extra soul you expect from a well-designed semi-hollow guitar.
A handle that invites you to play
The maple neck offers a crisp attack and excellent definition, perfectly balanced by a Micarta fingerboard. This modern material, with a feel similar to ebony, is prized for its stability, durability and easy maintenance.
The comfortable radius and 43 mm nut width ensure a natural grip, whether playing jazzy chords or more modern phrases.
And as always with the Japan Tune-Up Series, each instrument is carefully tuned in Japan at the DEVISER workshops in Matsumoto:
string height, fret finish, polishing... everything is ready to go right out of the case.
Alnico II pickups full of character
This ALBATROSS is equipped with SeventySeven AL2 pickups, designed around Alnico II magnets.
In short, they offer a bright, precise and singing sound, with lots of nuances and real smoothness in the high frequencies. With crunch or light overdrive, you get a warm, lively and expressive tone that is never aggressive.
This is a guitar that responds to touch, ideal for musicians who play with dynamics and nuances.
High-quality fittings and meticulous finishes
The ABR-1 bridge, Kluson tuners and bone nut contribute to tuning stability and optimal vibration transmission.
The UV urethane finish protects the instrument while respecting the natural resonance of the wood.
Each guitar comes with a SeventySeven hard case, a certificate of authenticity and the necessary accessories.
The DEVISER spirit, since 1977
The Japan Tune-Up Series benefits from strict specifications established by Japanese luthiers, with quality control and final adjustments carried out in Japan. It is this high standard that has earned DEVISER its reputation among discerning musicians.
