Crafted to DEVISER’s exacting standards, this WL4-STD/RSM builds on a legacy of Japanese craftsmanship recognised since 1977. Behind every instrument lies a culture of attention to detail, a respect for the wood, and a constant quest for a vibrant and inspiring sound.
A selection of woods designed for groove
The Nyatoh body provides a warm, balanced tonal foundation. This wood, which behaves similarly to mahogany, delivers round bass tones, prominent mid-range and excellent overall definition. Ideal for laying down a solid groove, whatever the style.
The Roasted Maple neck and fingerboard add an extra dimension. This specific heat treatment transforms the wood profoundly: it becomes more stable, more responsive, but also more expressive.
The result? A more open sound, with a precise attack and that slight vintage patina that gives the impression of playing an instrument that has already been ‘played’ for years.
Comfort and playability: a real pleasure every day
The neck profile is designed to provide a natural, fatigue-free grip. The slightly downsized body further enhances comfort, particularly during long sessions or on stage.

A surprisingly wide range of sounds
Fitted with a set of Original JB pickups, this bass delivers everything you’d expect from a Jazz Bass:
- Deep, defined bass tones
- Singing mid-range
- Precise highs without harshness
But where it really surprises is with its Turbo Switch integrated into the tone control. Pulling this switch engages the pickups in series to deliver a thicker, almost humbucker-like sound. Perfect for cutting through the mix or exploring new sonic territories without changing instruments.
