The Deviser Legacy & The Craftsmanship of Yasuo Momose
Founded in 1977 in Nagano, Japan, DEVISER rooted its reputation in high-end acoustic guitar crafting with its founding brand: Headway. At the heart of this story stands Master Luthier Yasuo Momose. A true legend of Japanese hand-craftsmanship, Momose-san dedicated his life to chasing acoustic perfection. Choosing custom hand-tools over mass-production machinery, he built a tradition of extreme precision driven by deep respect for tonewoods. Despite a tragic fire in 1983 that destroyed the original workshop, the artisan spirit remained unbroken. Rebuilt with passion, Deviser expanded globally while keeping its core philosophy: human craftsmanship always takes precedence over machines.
